Large-scale data driven entity pages for tv shows to accommodate varying degrees of content

The Project

What started as a project leveraging the platform used for movie entities quickly became a much more complicated data structuring exercise. Unlike movies, tv show pages were more like living entities that had to accommodate not only the show, but also episodes and seasons. We also had to consider the different needs of different types of shows such as reality, scripted and variety shows – all of which needed to meet different user needs. Add onto that shows that are currently running, archived, those in syndication and even those that are upcoming with little to no data associated with them. Overall the complexity of this project was a lot to wrangle.

My Contribution

• Acted as design lead for duration of project.
• Worked closely with remotely located product manager to define requirements for the project.
• Created wireframes to demonstrate varying degrees of content and different use cases we needed to accommodate.
