Create a music presence for Yahoo! Music on the new Facebook app platform.
The Project
The challenge was to create an engaging social music experience using the Facebook app platform around continuous music video plays based around the user and their social networks music favorites. In order to be an early adopter when the apps platform launched, Yahoo! had less than 30 days to design and develop this experience. To do so, UED (user experience design), engineering and product had to collaborate consistently to create the app at a record pace.
My Contribution
- Collaborate with engineering and design to determine what was feasible within the 30 day timeframe
- Design in real-time as app was being engineered and solve UI problems on the fly
- Constantly refine and improve features and functionality using pre-launched version of app
- Process became an example used across the company to demonstrate how we can launch successful products quickly through tighter working relationships
